Description Up for Auction is an Antique 6 Piece Barrister Bookcase The Globe-Wernicke Co.! This wooden bookcase is a versatile, well made piece of furniture. Made by the Globe-Wernicke Company in the early 1900's. Label on inside of cabinet has the numbers D-10 1/4 for size and 299 for grade. This barrister bookcase has 6 sectional stacking pieces which include base and top. Base of the cabinet has a drawer which opens for storage. Four sections have glass doors which lift and open with a sliding mechanism for easy opening and closing. Overall condition is good for its age. T is some paint on the bottom front right corner and on the left side of the top 3 pieces along the back. One of the section backs looks to have been replaced and time has taken its toll on the finish and metal trim. Bookcase has been in storage for 30 to 40 years. Measurements are 71 1/2 inches in height, 34 inches in width and the 4 bottom sections are 13 1/2 inches in depth. Each of the 3 bottom glass door sections are 16 1/4 inches in height. Top piece is 11 inches in depth and 13 1/2 inches in height. Sorry, t will be no shipping offered due to the fragile nature of the glass and its age. This item will be available for local pick up only and the winning bidder will be responsible for packing and transportation. This is located in Manistique, Michigan 49854.
