This is a Beautiful Antique c1900 SOLID 800 SILVER Ashtray that boasts an Elk Motif in the center!... This ashtray measures about 5 1/4" long x 3" wide...and it is about 1/2" deep. This item is Clearly marked directly below the male Elk on the tray...(the mark is between the front and back legs.....)--it is marked 800 (meaning it is made from 800 solid silver)--and t is a makers mark of a circle with inverted V's in it...see images...--I am not familiar with this maker...please see images.. This is an incredibly ornate, and interesting Ashtray!...notice the wonderful openwork on the edges of the tray...and the elk is a raised, and highly detailed design...t are some female elk in the background...and the male elk is standing in shallow water...---it is beautiful! This item is in Great shape for its age!...I can locate no areas of missing silver...and t are no large dings, dents or scratches....(just the very faint and fine surface scratches that you expect to find on vintage silver items...) ...see images...
