For auction is a colorful antique hand sewn quilt top which has no backing or batting. Please excuse shadows as photos were taken in full sun & I couldn't find an angle that didn't result in shadows showing in the photos. I believe this is called the YoYo pattern. The quilt top measures approximately 89 inches long and 80 inches wide. The YoYo's are approximately 3 inches in diameter with a round center that is 3/4 inch in diameter. The fabrics appear to me to be cotton feed sack fabrics in various pretty patterns and colors. The border fabric and centers of the YoYo's are orange in color. This pretty quilt top has been hand sewn and lies nice and flat with no puckering of the fabric. There are several places where the stitching between the YoYo's has come loose and a few stitches are needed to reattach them to their neighbors. This is a very pretty quilt top in color and in design. There is very light soil from being in storage; there are no spots, stains or tears and there is no fading of the colors. It has a light odor from being stored; it is not musty and there is no mildew. Please view all of the photos for detail and ask any questions prior to bidding.
