~Hand Carved Sterling Compact~ Age: Probably 1920's Style: Floral Era: Probably Art Deco Mater: 950 Sterling Silver with Gold Highlights Maker: Unknown Origin: Oriental I believe Condition: In great condition. I don't see any damage. Please see pictures for details. Measurements: 3-1/2" across by roughly 1/2" thick. Signature/Hallmark/Hallmarked: Signed in oriental hand writting along with 950 sterling. Details: Amazing large and heavy floral designed compact. Covered with a hand carved design of roses I think. which are highlighted with what look likes gold. The leaves and braces carved out are highlighted witha black or brown color. Has what looks like the original beveled mirror in it. With a door that has a spring loaded switch or latch that opens up to w the powder would be stored with the original powder puffer. It weighs 125 Grams or 4.02 troy oz. of sterling 950 silver.
