This auction is for an Antique Claddagh Ring for Men, Made out of solid 9ct Yellow Gold, Size 10 3/4 The Ring was made in Ireland around 1900 and it is fully Hallmarked with Irish Hallmarks from Dublin. It is a classic style Claddagh Ring which traditionally was used as a Wedding Ring but is also a great friendship ring. This is such a fine example of an Claddagh and the detail is amazing, including fingernails that can be seen on some of the fingers! It is crafted out of solid 9 ct Yellow Gold and it is marked and tested. The ring is currently a size 10 3/4 and it is sizable, it weighs a sturdy 4.0 grams. The ring can be worn by a man or a woman but usually the Man's Ring is large like this one and the Woman's Claddagh is much smaller and actually dainty...this is a very good sized ring for a Man! Despite being over 100 years old, the ring is in great condition, it shows signs of wear but nothing that could not be buffed out and it is just lovely!
