THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION !!! You are bidding on an Antique Oil Painting in Gilded Carved Frame. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and dates back to the 19th Century American School. Its in a beautiful gilded carved frame and is an original Oil on Panel or Board that depicts a beautiful Adirondack Catskill Landscape, The painting was done with beautiful Primitive charcaterstics of the 1800s with a nice Landscape with Squirrels off in the distance and nice Trees in the surroundings with floral foliage accented throughout. The beauty of art is that t are many different aspects that can be viewed and is all in the eye of the beholder. The simplicity can be tranquility, Peaceful, Harmony, Steady and whatever else you can think of which is what makes art. Because of its size, age and beauty it makes for a beautiful painting that can be accented anyw throughout your home that I PROMISE will be a topic of conversation and of investment grade. The artist was a TRUE MASTER, because we see great care and SKILL in the painting. This was obviously a master that was stretching for the finest form of perfection and accomplished quite a bit This came from a private estate on Long Island and please keep in mind these are antiques and were very well preserved by its original owners and this is real Hudson School or New York Catskill and it is very pleasing to the eye because you are looking through the eyes of what the artist saw over 100 years ago and is an heirlom piece of art even from an investment stand point with the NY Provenance. T is beautiful age to the piece with natural craquelure throughout and the panel has some curvuture from its age as well with some minor imperfections and scuffs due to its natural age that may need some professional touch up at your discretion. The frame is beautifully gilded with floral carved detail of Ancathus leaves with great depth and dimension to the detail all done throughout which is nicely recessed and we believe is original to the painting and has a planked panel board back which we also believe is original and it may be signed on the back as well but we are not experts and I am not qualified to properly take a painting this old out of its original frame and we are selling it the same way it came from the estate and we believe this paintin has been untouched since it was made from the 1800s. Please keep in mind the frame is also an antique along with the painting and has some minor imperfections and gilt loss that is consistent with its age. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING that is made today but Please understand that this is an antique and has some minor imperfections on it with its age as shown in the pictures below but overall its in excellent shape.
