A Rare and Antique Discovery!Dress Form âe" Mannequin âe" Cast Iron Ornate Feet âe" ACME FORM âe" Fully Functional Antique 1908 INCLUDES: 1 Rare and Antique 1908 ACME Fully Functional Mannequin Dress Form with Cast Iron Ornate Feet! CONDITION: T is some surface rust in spots, holes in the cover fabric and fading from being in the sunlight. The dark band around the upper waist is w they had placed a wrapping of cloth around it, and so it retained its original dark brown color (it is NOT a stain). It is the same story with the dark lines on the shoulder, w someone had lain something across it to block the sunlight. All parts have been tested and have been found to be fully functional. The wheels on the base function properly, the scissoring metal bands on the lower skirt all move freely, the wires on from skirt to the center pole work properly and the bust and hip set knob and lock tab turn freely and function properly. SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Overall it measures approx. 62âe high by 19âe wide by 19âe deep. ITEM INFO: This is a stunning and rare discovery, and in such complete condition! We are just amazed! It is an antique 1908 mannequin/dress form by ACME FORM with a long skirt cage and cast iron ornate feet! It does have some light general wear from age, use and storage (see condition notes above) but otherwise is in great, complete and functioning condition! The brand is found on the top of the cast iron foot base which reads ACME FORM, and was patented Dec. 1, 1908. The top half of the form is covered in a brown stretchy nylon type material, which was originally dark brown in color (viewable around the upper waist). The bottom skirt is made up as a metal cage with scissoring metal bands to adjust the size! The bottom of the ornate feet have wood caster wheels for moving and adjusting ease and has a beautiful raised decoration on the top of the legs/feet! This is truly an amazing find, which is becoming harder to find. So donâe(tm)t miss out on the chance to add this quality antique seamstress item to your collection and become the envy of all your collecting friends!
