I have for auction this wonderful old mantel clock, advertising the" Belknap Hardware & Mfg. Co. Inc. Louisville, Ky." in small print around the bottom of the face. The trade mark for Belknap Blue Grass is in the center area, and reads "Belknap Hardware & MFG Co. Extra Quality Blue Grass Louisville U.S.A. " I can't read the rest. This clock does not work, although the works are in it. I was told by a clock repairman he could fix it with old Ingram works. The pendulum is t, unattached. The back is intact. I think it is walnut with decorative brass legs, handles & trim. It is 17" wide, 5 1/2" deep, 10 1/4" tall. One of the decorative brass pieces below one handle on the side has the tip missing. T is a quarter sized chip from the glass by the catch. The face is discolored from age. I see a small, approx 1/16" nick from the back of the top. But you know what? It is a unique old clock and we have had it on our mantel just the way it is for over 25 years. We kept thinking we would have it fixed. Guess we will just sell it and let you fix it!
