I know that the word "Rare" is used much to often and I have never used it myself in any of my descriptions until now! The makers mark is very worn but I believe it is the Mark used by The Charles Allerton and Sons Pottery between 1890 and 1912. Besides the mark t is the # , made in England and impressed in the porcelain the letters "R O Y" . Truly unique for its time the design depicts Japanese Lanterns hanging on tree branches. The branches are black with grey shadows. The lanterns are very colorful. The interior of the vase is a gold Lustre. The vase stans 7 1/4 inches tall with a 3 1/4 inch base and a 31/2 inch diameter at its widest part. I believe the medium is Transferware. Winning bidder to pay Priority Shipping 2 pounds and Insurance.
