Up for auction is a beautiful, hard to find lustreware porcelain pitcher from the aesthetic movement era by Wedgwood. The bottom has the impressed marks Wedgwood 3GN J 3OS(?). This last set of numbers or letters are faded and hard to read. The name "Kioto" is in a cartouche with T3558 along with a red hand written small "v" with two dots. T is an overall beige and brown lustre glaze on the jug, the brown areas resemble wood or roses. Beautiful polychrome colors adorn the two upside down asian motif triangle medallions. One panel depicts a temple, a bridge, Mt. Fuji(?) in the background among trees and grass. The other panel has a similar scene sans the temple. Peacock feathers adorn each panel. A light green zig zag pattern with orange flowers accent the rim. T are no cracks or chips to the porcelain just a couple of very small skips in the green glaze along the rim. The dimensions are 5.5" tall by 4" across the widest part. Item will be bubble wrapped, double boxed and shipped USPS priority mail. First class for international bidders. Please email any questions and many thanks for looking! I was told that the medallions are in the shape of fans, not upside down triangles.
