For your consideration is a phenomenal antique ceiling fan. It is the Fan-O-Plane style made popular in the 1930’s. Several companies made these, such as; Dallas Aircraft, Century, and General Electric. The plane has been restored in custom fashion showing “Thunder Bay Lodge” lettering and sea plane floats. Why sell such a special piece of your collection? I have had several Fan-O-Planes over the years but never restored one to my specifications. I just bought a Dallas plane in unrestored condition and am going to have it done and replace this one. I have $3200.00 invested in this Thunder Bay ceiling fan but, the reserve is set much lower than that. The plane has obviously been restored. The restoration work is extremely nice. The paint shows to be base coat/clear coat. The lettering and striping is by hand (not decals) and is over the clear coat. The floats are painted composite of some nature, completely removable with two small metal screws. Condition is as restored with a few small nicks and scratches. It is hanging on a stand I had bent up by a local shop, it is included but I will not ship the stand. Plane Measures 36in long. I will ship. I will remove the wings, propeller, and floats then package in a box protected with bubble wrap. Buyer will pay all of the actual shipping costs. I listed it as pick up only because I read more
