For any collector of Alice in Wonderland items, canes / walking sticks OR VERY UNIQUE folk art! We recently acquired this wonderful one of a kind collection of six folk art figural cane heads inspired by the Louis Carroll characters in Alices Adventures in Wonderland. About these pieces: What makes them so unique? Well... These 6 pieces were sculpted entirely by hand, out of chemically hardened cheese ( a sort of early plastic in concept) which gave the appearance of aged ivory. Dating: Circa 1870-1880 . Each finely detailed and outside of the odd material are wonderful & talented examples of early folk art. Probably European in origin. Accompanied with an article of provenance showing them as profiled as 'charms" in the San Francisco Chronicle back in December 14th of 1972 and how these were first acquired. Condition: Very good overall, one with some minor damage. All having had at some later point the addition of small fob eye loops added. The largest measures approximately 2 inches tall and 2 inches wide; the smallest measures 1 x .75 inches. Summary of My Selling Policies Payment Paypal, Money Order, and/or Personal Check accepted. A handling fee of $1.00-$4.00 may be applied to certain items depending on materials and amounts needed. Special rates and other restrictions may apply depending on your location. We usually ship using USPS Priority, USPS ground or other, however some special items may require Fedex Ground, UPS Ground, Fedex Overnight, and/or UPS Overnight. Delivery We ship all items within 24hrs when possible (except holiday's) upon receipt and or clearing of payment. Items are shipped out daily. Refunds & Returns (Q) Under what circumstances are refunds given? (A) All items that state GUARANTEE are guaranteed to be as described or your money back minus any shipping, handling and/or re stocking fees.
