Fine, antique American, flame walnut and marquetry inlaid, Federal Sheraton library table/desk, circa 1810 Fine, antique, American Federal, Sheraton library table/desk, made from walnut, inlaid with decorative marquetry, circa 1810. The library table is made of flame walnut, t are drawers on all sides (three sides are dummy drawers) designed so the table can be in the middle of a room. All the drawer fronts have the original brass ring pulls, the table is twin pedestal, the pedestals are inlaid with ebony and boxwood stringing, each pedestal has a pair of outswept Duncan Phyfe legs, each side is decorated with one large appliqued roundel and two smaller ones. The pedestals are connected by a turned stretcher, the legs are also inlaid, the table terminates on the original cast brass lions's pad feet and brass castors, which are very well modeled! Condition is excellent, original finish, no alterations, dimensions; 29.5" tall x 48.5" wide x 27" deep, an impressive and desirable antique American Sheraton Library table circa 1810.
