ANTIQUE AMERICAN FLAME MAHOGANY GAME CARD EMPIRE TABLE GORGEOUS MIRRORED FIGURED GRAIN...SINGLE PEDESTAL.! This is a very nice antique single pedestal card table...from a prestigious Charleston estate...in storage for many years so it is still in very good condition! The hinged top opens as shown below...at the moment, this top is not "connected" to the base which should be simple to repair. The table top and the wood is solid and in very good condition...t is a slight separation when the table is opened on one side and this is simply due to the shrinkage of the wood due to age. is the top of the table base under the table top. Construction is all hand dove tailed. The single pedestal base is simple and the major decoration is the fabulous mirrored flame mahogany. Typically, the bases of these tables are missing much veneer....the figured veneer on this base is in excellent condition! Under the base shows the presence of the original corner blocks and also shows the construction from the bottom up. All four of the brass casters are original. The following photos are the table top but the bottom side...in one photo, it appears to say "Chas, So. Car.". Measurements are as follows: Height = 30 3/8" When closed = 36 1/2" by 18" When open = 36 1/2" by 36 1/2" Base measures 21 3/4" by 17 3/4" Great opportunity for a super antique table...
