He studied at the National Academy of Design and settled with his wife on Monhegan Island, Maine. He was well known for his marine, landscape and genre paintings. I have tried my hardest to identify the New England Lighthouse in this authentic Andrew Winter Oil Painting, with no luck! Measuring 22" by 28" this early 20 th century Oil Painting is on stretched canvas and is signed in the lower right hand corner "A. Winter." Under a blacklight you can see a small in-painted restoration to the upper right hand corner, and there is a very fine and stable craquelar to the surface. The 27" by 33" wood frame is original and you will find that this authentic Andrew Winter Lighthouse Oil Painting has been listed without any reserve!......
