This finely detailed statue was produced by the Ansonia Clock Company or its' predecessor the Ansonia Brass Company founded in 1845. Produced as a clock topper or free standing statue, it stands approximately 20 1/2 inches tall. It is quite heavy, being solid cast spelter or white metal. The only issue I can find other than minor finish wear, or paint wear to the base, is that it is missing the little round rowel from the spur on the heel of the inside foot. T is a perfect small hole present, as if the tiny piece was added after casting. It took me a couple of examinations to even notice it, and the tiny piece could easily be reproduced. It absolutely is not even noticeable when displayed, and I am mentioning it in the interest of accuracy. Additionally the sword and scabbard are made of brass, and the sword has some bending, but I didn't want to do any adjusting. This piece is hard to find especially in this condition! Don't miss the opportunity to add this one to your collection! I also have a Don Juan statue currently listed as well! INSURED SHIPPING IS ONLY $25 , to anyw in the continental US.
