This beautiful antique reddish-pink case with applied pansys is a stunning example of an Ansonia porcelain or ceramic clock is titled "TRIBUTE". It is signed on the back below the opening for the round dust cover "TRIBUTE" (see pic's). The crisp magenta purplish red case with its pink accents and lovely floral designs is just gorgeous. It is a true ANTIQUE ANSONIA clock, guarenteed!!!! This FANTASTIC old time piece was made in the late 1800's through early 1900's and is about 10 inches high X 10 inches wide and about 5 1/2 inches deep. The 8 day time/strike movement is signed with a patent date of June 18th, 1882. It has been oiled and runs and keeps good time and comes with the its pendulum and winding key. This beautiful old clock strikes the hour and half hour on a SUPER sounding cathedral gong that resonates nicely and is very pleasing to the ear. The ultra perfect porcelain dial is just beautiful with no cracks, hairlines or chips. The bezel has been polished and a coat of paste wax applied to help keep it from from tarnishing. The Floral Designs are still bright, beautiful and crisp on all sides of the case. (please see photo) T are NO CRACKS or BREAKS in the case. It does show some light crazing from temperature variations in its life and t are a few small spots w the glaze is worn, which is not bad for being 100+ years old. This LOVELY old clock will dress up any home decor or office that it is placed in as it is quite lovely!!! These Great old Porcelain clocks were made by many of the early American clock companies such as Seth Thomas, Waterbury, Gilbert and Krober and were used to decorate the mantles and parlors of many homes during the Victoria Art Nouveau era..
