You are bidding on two very old electric lamps -- the figures are most likely from the Ansonia Clock Company and manufactured in the early 20th century. The lamps look to be original but they may have ben converted to electric lamps because I cannot find w Ansonia made lamps. You would definitely not be able to tell that they were not made as lamps.Condition is excellent as they have been stored since at least the 1950's in an attic. The electric cord is fabric coated and the plug is very old looking. They would definitely not be UL approved and would have to be replaced if you wanted to actually use them as lamps. The figures are approximately 20" from the base to the top of the lamp and the base is 8" in diameter. I am describing them as Don Juan and Don Caesar only because I found the figures listed on ebay with that description. I really believe these are unique and rare. I had a Ansonia clock appraised at the Antique Road Show for $1,200 and it was a figure of Cortez -- this item will be available once I get the clock repaired.
