This is an old fashioned hand cranked apple cider press. I know nothing of the origin - I picked it up from an antique dealer in Virginia many years ago. As you can see from the photos, it has been welded on one side. We have used it for many years to press frsh cider. We are downsizing and want to find a good home for it. We are willing to ship it but it's really heavy. If we ship it, we'll have to add those actual shipping costs to the sale price. We live in central Pennsylvania but make many trips to Virginia so you can pick it up or we may be able to deliver it - if you're interested, contact us and we'll talk it over. We also have the pressing bucket (wooden slatted) and the small pallet that the bucket sits on.Printing on iron: The side with the crank reads: P. IMAST & CO., SPRINGFIELD, OHIO The back reads: PATENTED MAY 29 - 55 FEB 6-64 NOV 21-65 The front reads: REISSUED AUG 24, 1866 Let me know if you want any other information.
