This antique art deco theater ticket stand came out of a theater in Alabama, according to the antique shop owner we purchased it from. Sorry, I don't know the name of the theater, but another exact piece sold recently and said it was from the Saenger Theater in Hattiesburg,MS -- guess these could all have come from the same. (We have a matching one listed separately on another auction if you want the set we will combine shipping.) Both are missing the lids, but these could easily be recreated from craft shop items and a little sponge painting. It appears to have been a 1/2 ball with a handle on top. These are made from what appears to be fiberglass and date to the 1930's or 1940's era, and measure approximately 36" tall x 12" wide at top. It is in fine condition with no major damage, only a few nicks and scratches to the edges from normal wear and tear as shown in the pictures. Again, nicks and scratches are easily touched up with a little matching enamel paint. We were going to use these for lamp stands, but have not yet found the right lamps for the top. What a great addition to your home theater or art deco decor! Item will be shipped via Fedex Ground and a flat charge of $20 should cover this. Shipping to the Continental United States ONLY. No international buyers.
