Click Photo to Enlarge You are bidding on an Antique Bakelite North Electric "Pyramid" Telephone in very good condition, sometimes referred to as a 'Galion'. This telephone has been taken from service and has been restored. It is functional. It calls out, talks, listens, (((RINGS))) melodically when called, and dials out. It is made of bakelite and comes with its original, remarkably well-preserved cloth-covered handset cord and a new black vinyl modular line cord, tipped with a modern modular plug. Its ready to plug in and use today. Click Photo to Enlarge The 'Galion' as depicted in this listing began production in 1937 and continued on until the late 1950's and early 1960's. The 'Galion'was used by many independent telephone companies in that time period. The North Electric Company was a manufacturer of telephone parts for Western Electric and sometimes Automatic Electric. Thus many different telephone parts can be found in a 'Galion' which are standard to different brands.In this case. The inside stamp on the aluminum base is marked 11/1947 as the hookswitch, induction coil and baseplate are all dated 1947. This particular telephone appears to never have been.
