~ ♥ ~a beautiful antique Art Nouveau necklace, made circa late 1800s to early 1900sof 14 karat gold with a natural pearl and genuine sapphire cabochonThe lavalier pendant has a quatrefoil design, long considered to be a symbol of wisdom and good fortune. Four leaf clovers became the lucky charms they are because of their quatrefoil shape.This tests as solid 14 karat gold and is also marked "585" on the back, a European purity mark for 14 karat gold. The pendant measures 1 5/8" total length and a little more than 1/2" at its widest and is suspended from an 18" chain. It weighs 2.16 grams and comes in an antique Edwardian era velvet-covered box.It's in excellent antique condition with no flaws or notable wear...a very lovely gift for yourself or someone special.
