This is a fantastic Arts & Crafts hammered copper vase with brass mounts. It is SUPER huge and measures a whopping 15" tall ; fantastic Arts & Crafts styling, borderline Art Nouveau. I can not emphasize enough how much this vase makes an impact on everyone who sees it, quite impressive. T are flowered decoration with long tendrils which are mounted all the way around the vase. The body of the vase is hammered copper. It is not flimsy in any way, but quite solid, heavy and extremely well made. T are no dents or damage of any kind. The stems on the flowers are not perfectly shaped, some are slightly wavy however overall the look is just spectacular. The patina is quite beautiful and aged. T is a mark on the bottom which I have pictured. I believe it is a WMF mark, but not 100% certain. It looks like a diamond with a bird inside? T is also a number "61" marked. This vase is very similar to Roycroft pieces. Super nice piece for any Arts & Crafts collection or an extremely nice decorative piece for any home. Please ask any questions you might have. Buyer will pay shipping and handling. Good Luck!
Ok, after researching the mark on the bottom the vase is definitely WMF. It is an early mark. Thanks for looking! Please take note, as it is not immediately apparent in these pictures, that the stems on the flowers are only attached to the vase at the top and bottom. Along the body of the vase, the stems hang free form and are not attached. This was way the vase was made and in my opinion adds an extra special sort of 3-D affect to the piece. Super Neat!
