This beautiful antique Ginger Jar is in excellent condition, with no damage except for a little bit of ware wich is expected on a piece of art this old. Cinnabar Ginger Jars were used for storing dry spices and of course, Ginger. It's made of layer after layer of black, then red laquer dried over brass, then hand-carved by the artist into this wonderful work of art. A blue enamel is then applied to the brass for a lasting effect. A stunning floral pattern covers this vase with stunning detail. 7 & 1/2" tall with the lid on, or take the lid off and use as a vase. Payment due in 7 days from purchase. Item will be shipped 1 day after payment is made, International buyers are required to pay through Pay Pal. Insurance is included in the shipping cost.
