AntiqueHand Carved Asian folding screen with mirrors With incredible attention to detail this hand carved asian folding screen depicts lucky chinese dragons with cherry blossoms, birds, mountains and sunrises. These carvings are hand crafted in a solid walnut wood with a dark solid stain and features large beautiful mirrors. This is a very unique, VERY OLD, asian folding screen. Where the mirrors are now there was once hand painted Asian art however it's condition was un-salvageable therefore was replaced with mirrors. This piece is strong and sturdy but we recommend having a few people help when moving it around to help alleviate weight on its hinges. There are very few scratches although there are a some scuffs and chips here and there but the overall condition of the piece is in good shape. The screen has been touched up with stain with a very minimal amount in order to keep the original integrity of the wood. The back is UNFINISHED. The screen has carving on both the front AND the back and can be used in a corner or out in the middle of the room with the back exposed. The back was left unfinished so you the buyer can decide the screen's final look. It can be completed with a coat of paint/stain to match your room or a nice application of fabric or wall paper to match your decor. The mirrors will visually open up any room and add unexpected charm and class with it's unique carvings. ........... UNDERSTANDING ANTIQUES Our items are all antiques.
