This auction is for the first of 2 antique Auguste Moreau Spelter Statues I will be listing tonight. This auction is for an Auguste Moreau Spelter Statue entitled "Diane Chasseresse". Nice Spelter Sculpture, it measures 18 inches tall and sits on a metal base that has the plaque denoting the name of the statue. The statue itself also has Aug. Moreau signed on the bottom left side of the statue and it also has a little medallion where it indicates it was made in France. The sculpture does have some surface wear and loss throughout (please see the photographs). The base also has wear to it. You will notice there is a closeup picture of Diane's large toe, at first glance I thought there was a bit of damage to it, but upon further inspection there is not. Still a rare statue and I will be listing a second Moreau tonight as well, don't miss your opportunity to add it to your collection!
