This is a COLLECTOR'S PIECE. It is RARE, it is PERFECT, and it is COMPLETE !!!!!!!!! The only other one I personally have ever seen was at the Baccarat Museum on rue Paradis in Paris. Itis very east to understand, given the nature of the crystal ring in the middle covering the metal collar, why so few have survived - they obviously disappeared when the centerpiece was movedfrom house to house, or simply not put back in when the piece was disassembled for cleaning. In any case - this one is and is PERFECT. I tried to photograph the signature which is in themold on the underside of the base but I'm afraid I just couldn't make it show. You may bid withconfidence though - I do guarantee it is t Also, I used the dark red background in an attemptto show the swirl pattern clearly, but rest assured the crystal is CLEAR and COLORLESS as it should be.
