You are bidding on an Antique Artifact from the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road System. I am not sure what it is or what it's purpose was but it is clearly marked 'B & O R. R.' it appears to be a locking latch of some sort attached to a chain. This item is being sold with the key that it was found with. I cannot get the key to work. The item does have wear t are a few areas w t are groves in the iron body of the lock.

Characteristics: This item is 9" long from one end to the end of the chain the 'lock' part is 2 5/8" long and 2" wide at it's wides point.
