You are bidding on an antique barbed wire fence stretcher. It measures 18" in length and is marked with the letter A inside a circle. I have done quite a bit of research and haven't been able to find out what tool company used that logo. If any of you tool experts know, contact me. The tool has some small surface marks in a couple of spots, but otherwise is in very good condition. It is made from heavy duty steel and is ready to use or to hang up on the wall on display.
To use these, the wire is placed in the groove w the end piece connects with the handle. One of the points on the end is hooked on a post and the handle is pulled. As the handle is pulled, the groove closes gripping the wire and pulling it tight. The wire is then stapled in the stretched position.
