You are bidding on an antique barbed wire fence stretcher. It measures 25" in length and is in very good condition showing hardly any wear and very few surface marks. It is marked "Page" and has a logo of a Y inside of a triangle. This one has a couple of extra features... It has a wire cutter near the pivot pin and a staple remover hook at the end of the pivot arm. This is a heavy duty tool being longer than most fence stretchers and also made out of heavier material. I have sold 10 to 15 of these in the last 3 years and this one is about the best one of all.
To use these, the wire is placed in the groove w the end piece connects with the handle. One of the points on the end is hooked on a post and the handle is pulled. As the handle is pulled, the groove closes gripping the wire and pulling it tight. The wire is then stapled in the stretched position.
