19th century-An Orientalist-style oil on canvas. From a rocky promontory a watch-full Bedouin stands in guard below. The rider sits on a white stallion with a rolled up blanket and carries his nomadic gear, holding an 18th century musket style rifle. Size: 15" x 12" canvas size, with frame overall 19-1/2"x 16-1/2". Condition: The painting has not been cleaned. Frame has been painted over with bronze-tone paint; ornaments and corners have minor loss.
