We have always collected antiques of all kinds. Over the next few months we will be thining out some piled up antique things from 3 generations. Two outbuildings to unload is bound to bring out some nice and unusual items enjoyable to find. We will be selling some furniture items from our home also. THIS AUCTION WILL END ON SUNDAY APRIL 8th This set is all matching and completely original from the finish and hardware down to the porcelain casters. T are no breaks, chips, deep scratches, cracks, or repairs in the marble. The set is heavy all solid walnut with decorative burled pieces, no repairs or reglued joints. The whole set is in superb condition all over. No damaged or repaired drawer pulls. All the metal on the pulls are solid brass, even the threaded shaft to the tips of the tear drops. All the original cast square head washer nuts on the reverse side of the pulls are present. All original porcelain casters are unbroken and present including the large 5 3/4" post swivel casters for the bed. One is pictured on the foot of the bed. Each socket for the bed casters posts are also undamaged, solid and sturdy. The bed rolls easily and smooth on the floor. All of the units are thick and heavily constructed. They're sturdy, firm, and tight. No rickety or loose joints anyw Bed is very firmly jointed, not shaky or squeaky when set up. Someone was getting ready for bed and wanted a picture taken with their favorite teddy bear from Grandma. The drawers are English dove tailed, all glide normal and smooth with no jamming or hindrance. We never did have the key for the drawers which may explain why the key holes are so clean with no chews or scars. I tried an antique furniture key on a drawer and was able to slightly pop up the pin. The 3 keys I have won't work. I don't have any reason to believe that the locks aren't in perfectly good shape judging from their looks. The mattress we used on the bed is the one in the picture, a deep pillow top full sz , not 3/4 ( mattress n ot included, simply pictured to demontrate size) T's crazing in the finish and t and typical minor wear marks that would be expected. None are note worthy or detract from the suites integrity. The bed has some wear on the inside of the foot board seen in the picture below with the mattress out. T are also two, short hairline age cracks in the walnut on each side of the footboard's middle section near the center of the outer edge. Neither is stressed or in danger of compromising the structure or spreading into a break. At the top of the headboard on the right outer edge t is a very minor 1 1/2 inch age crack and another on the top of the vanity dresser in about the same spot. Again I don't believe worth bothering with. When you say the word crack it sparks a scare, but don't worry if these were close to being important or compromised the structure we would tell you up front. I didn't have enough picture space to include close ups of them in the photos. If you need to see them we can e-mail you a picture of them if you request. T are no repairs, dents, breaks or other damage. Super clean, no odors, non-smoker home.The finish appears lighter in a couple of the side view photos w the flash was used but the true overall darker color in the rest of the pictures is more accurate. The set has a larger look to it in person than the pictures convey The large round top post pieces on the foot board add a massive feel to the bed. The bed is 7' 10'' at the tallest point, 62" at widest point The Vanity dresser is 7' 10'' tall, 3' 11'' at the widest point, 19 1/2" deep The wash stand is 3' 5 1/2" tall, 29 1/2" widest point, 16 1/2"deep We've noticed the viewing audience changes from week to week on ebay and new bidders set a comfortable but constantly changing price margin. We will sell this set with no reserve. This is a privately owned, beautiful, completely original survivor set that is ready to go into your home from ours. We are honest easy going people and ...
