This is a very nice original clean and working mantel clock in the "beehive" style. It was made around 1865 by the E. N. Welch company of Forestville, Connecticut. It measures 19 inches tall and is 10 inches wide. The face is in good shape for its age with all Roman Numerals present. I have pretty much kept it wound and working for the six months or so that I have owned it. It had been cleaned and adjusted by a clock expert before I purchased it. It has a nice ticking sound and a nice "gong" on the hour. The pendulum and key, I believe, are original; or at least, they are right for the age of the clock. --I am moving and, unfortunately, must sell it. It's a beauty and will be packed with the utmost of care.
