Antique Bible - 1795 Wiggins Family BiblePublished in Edinburg. Printed by Mark and Charles Kerr, His Majesty's Printers. MDCCXCV (King James version)This bible was handed down to me by my Mother, Frances Thompson Wiggins. She got it from her Uncle, Theodore DuBois Wiggins, after he committed suicide (not uncommon in this family tree!)Great Uncle Teddy made some notes in this Bible, as can be seen on the cover page, back in 1922. They are a little yellowed, but I can read it and the pages turn. This branch of the Wiggins clan has died out, and I have no issue as well. So I think it is better to let it find a new owner than to have it damaged in storage or end up being sold for pennies at a garage sale after I die.As far as I know, this is an authentic 1795 bible - over 200 years old. It may have been rebound somewhere during the last two centuries. The cover is cardboard covered with a leather-like material. The Bible comes read more
