Stunning necklace made with jade, pearls, cloisonné beads, coral, silver, and at the center an antique jade amulet with jade drops. The old hand-carved amulet is made of mutton fat jade in a very pale celadon green; it has been suspended from another old amulet, a silver bat with tiny carved green birds either side. There are two old jade drops attached to either side of the larger amulet. It measures approx. 4.5" by 2". The necklace itself is made of jade beads, carved coral beads, natural pearls, cloisonné beads and small silver beads. It measures approx. 31" long. The clasp is made of two cloisonné enamel butterflies that attach underneath. The color of the necklace is the truest in the photos with the light background; the black washes out the color. This is a magnificent piece; it is very likely that the amulet is much older than the necklace, and was incorporated into this piece at a later date. The stones in the necklace itself look more contemporary, although not new. The necklace weighs 95.1 grams. The necklace is in excellent condition, has been stored away for over 25 years, and is offered "as found". *****Please take note; I never end auctions early. Due to the great interest in this item, I am obliged to add this to clarify my selling policies. Thanks.**** ***More clarification on the jade pendant; the measurements given in the listing of 4.5" by 2" are for the pendant as it appears on the necklace, including the two drops and the silver bat amulet at the top. The carved bird jade rectangle by itself is approx. 2.5"/5.5cm by 1&3/8"/3.5cm by 1/8" or .5cm thick. ***
