Antique Clock
Wow! This auction is for a very rare antique triple decker weight driven clock that was made in the mid-1800s. This clock has the original paper label and it indicates it was made by Birge, Peck & Company in Bristol, Connecticut. It has a really neat railroad themed label that is in great condition. The middle glass panel has an image of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. by tit is worn badly. The dial is original but has some paint loss. T are two winding knobs - one for the gong and one for the time. It works excellent but needs a new pendulum. I might be able to find one before I ship it, but t is no guarantee, so it is sold without the pendulum. The weights and key are included. I can remove the weights to make the clock lighter if the winner prefers cheaper shipping. The clock measures about 19" x 33", so this is a huge piece. The clock case is in great condition, but was probably refinished at some point because it is over 150 years old. Very nice, old clock! This piece is part of a very large collection of clocks, watches and miscellaneous pieces from the same estate that I am selling this week. The previous owner passed away and was a long time watch and clock repairman in Illinois. T are many great items listed so make sure you check out all of them - and get a great deal on combined shipping. Bidder pays $30.00 for shipping and handling via USPS Mail within the United States. International bidders please email me for shipping cost if they are not disclosed in the below Shipping and Handling section. Also, International Bidders please keep in mind that all items with a final closing value of US$20.00 or more will require insurance. It is very inexpensive and will protect the shipment against loss. Insurance will be purchased from a 3 rd party insurer (find out more at ), which provides much better coverage. I accept personal checks, money orders and credit cards via Paypal. I charge a 5.1% sales tax to all Wisconsin residents - sorry, it's mandatory! Thanks for bidding! Shipping rules : If you happen to win more than one auction and live in the United States I will GREATLY discount shipping. Obviously, the discount will depend on the weight of each individual item and the physical characteristics of the shipment. Discount will be determined once all auctions are closed, or you can email me for the exact cost prior to the auctions closing. Sorry, international shipping is quite a bit more expensive; however, I will still discount shipping. Return Policy : Returns are accepted on items in the event t is a discrepancy between the item description above and the actual condition of the item. I am also always willing, at my discretion, to work with the bidder to make sure their experience is positive, and will often return items if it's not what the bidder expected. Please inquire before bidding if this is unclear. A request for return must be made within 2 days of delivery - t are NO exceptions to this rule. Bleeding_gums rules : Payment must be received within 10 days of auction close. Insurance is not included in shipping cost, but insurance is available on all items at the buyer's request and expense. Quality Shipping!
