Welcome to our auction, Fellow Antique and Vintage Doll Enthusiasts! Many of you know us as Halloween, Christmas, and Ephemera collectors and sellers – but we love antique dolls, too! Please meet Gretel. She is a darling, bisque, socket-head child doll with a wood and composition ball-jointed body. She has an open mouth with little white teeth, and mesmerizing, set blue glass eyes. She measures 23” tall, and is dressed in a magnificent and well-made French-style two-piece dress with a stunning matching bonnet. We particularly love the big velvet bow at the back. This little girl has a peaches-and-cream complexion and the colors of her outfit compliment it beautifully. Her hand-painted facial features are so pretty! She has multi-stroked eyebrows and coral-shaded lips with a rosy blush to her lovely cheeks. We find no cracks or hairlines to her bisque head.
