This Enameled Black Cast Iron Ansonia Mantle Clock dates back to 1904. This clock was called “Venice.” This is a very heavy clock! It is in running condition, keeps great time and the movement has been cleaned and serviced. The cabinet measures 16-½" wide x 10-1/4" hi x 6½" deep and has it’s original enameled finish. The top has been refinished due to scratches. The ornaments have been regilded to their original luster. The original black enameled finish is in very good shape. The bezel is brass. The glass in the bezel is the original glass with the beveled edge. Dial is a paper replacement which very closely matches the cream porcelain dials. Gongs once on the half hour and counts the gongs on the hour. This is an 8 day strike clock and it has to be wound weekly. The pendulum, key and instructions for setting up are included.
