Antique Black Forest Carved Cuckoo Clock This clock was made in Black Forest, Germany, as is marked on the movement, “Manufactured in Tribeck Germany”. It doesn’t presently run, and probably only needs an adjustment. The pendulum will go for a bit then it stops. The cuckoo bellows are in good shape and it cuckoo’s on the ½ and the hour with a very pleasant sounding cuckoo. The hour hand will need replacing also, it is broken and I have the piece and you could try and glue it. The clock measures 18” tall, and is 14” wide. It’s hard to find old Black Forest Cuckoo clocks these days, so don’t let this one get away.I have sold many clocks on E-bay, and shipping is always a concern of mine. I try to pack them as well as I can, I wrap the clock in many layers of bubble wrap, of course I wrap the pendulum and winding key separate, and secure the pendulum spring from moving during the shipping process. I then place the clock in a bed of packing peanuts and fill the area around the clock with more peanuts. As annoying as these packing peanuts are when unpacking items, they do work very well. The box I have had made, is considered to be an oversized box by UPS, but they seem work well in shipping clocks. We try to describe things honestly and fairly, (hence our more then 4200 positive feedbacks) should you have any questions or suggestions, read more
