This is a "cool" Black Forest handcarved desk top smokers set. I am not an expert on such items but I would guess it is quite old. T are no screws used, it as held together with wood dowls, also hand carved. The two cute Scottie dogs stand 5 inches tall and have glass eyes and are chained at the collar,with one ear laid and his red tounge out they are irresistible. The entire piece is 13 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 6 1/2 inches tall. The tobacco box is 3x4 inches with green and red accents on the lid top, It has Souvenir of Germany carved on the front of the box in script. Tha ash trays on eather side measure 3x3, with brass inserts. On the left of the dogs is a match holder 1 1/4x 1 1/4 and 2 inches tall, on the right is an arched shaped striker 1 3/4 inches tall. This is a very unusual piece of Black Forest woodcarving, in good condition, with no cracks, chips, scratchs or broken or missing parts. Just waiting to be added to your collection treasured antiques and unusual items.{The ashtrays look like they have been used in the past I washed them to get the smell out, they could be replaced without harming the authenticity of the piece.} I'll be happy to answer any questions about the piece ASAP, I check my mail several times a day.
