You are looking at a large antique black forest cuckoo clock from Germany. This clock is stamped "GERMANY Emil Schmeckenbecher" on the brass works inside the clock. I don't know anything about clocks so I brought it to a very well known clock shop on the Jersey Shore and was told that the clock needs repair in order to get it to work so I'm selling it in "as is" condition. He also said that this clock was about 60-70 years old. All the carvings look very good. The face is surrounded by a hunter's horn. T is a hare on one side, a pheasant on the other side and a large stag head at the top. The stag has glass eyes. T is a large rifle and hunter's pouch at the bottom. The antler's are removable (I think one has been repaired) as does the entire top piece with the stag and leaves. T are two doors - the hunter behind one and the cuckoo behind the other. The inside has a music box but I do not know the song. This clock comes with all the chains and 3 weights. All three weights are the same size (they look different but it's the angle of the photo). It is missing the pendulum and the number 11 on the face. This cuckoo clock is very large measuring 22" from the top of the antlers to the bottom of the pouch. It measures 14" across and 7" deep (11" deep if you count the stag). This clock is a very rich, dark brown. GOOD LUCK BIDDING! Shipping will be $15.00 within the continental U.S. Alaska and Hawaii to be determined at auction end. The clock is actually a darker brown than the main picture. It's just like picture 2.
