Very attractive old parade saddle from the early 50's, still in good parade shape. The saddle has a lot of silver, beautiful quilted seat, and still has all of the fleece on the underside ! It does have some surface cracking on the leather, nothing that I have seen that would impede its use, and the saddle has been given a good coat of mink oil, and will have another before you get it. This has made the leather very pliant. The seat is in very good condition, and it is a 16 inch seat. The gullet measures a strong 5 3/4. The silver has some small dents on the corner of the pommel, and there are a couple small dings in the silver on the horn They do indicate the saddle has seen some use. There is also a circular dome shaped piece that fastened to one of the corner pieces that is missing. It is a Ted Flowers type, especially the seat, but I have found no maker's mark. From viewing a number of other saddles of this type, I believe that the seat and silver are Ted Flowers design. This is a heavy, well constructed saddle, and cerrtainly was pretty pricey when new.
