* * ! FEATURED AUCTION ! * * This blue and tan coverlet is signed on two corners Latitia Sprowle Reading 1840. It has a hand stitched center seam and measures about 86 by 76 inches. It's fringe is missing, t is about a 3 inch split in the center seam, and the top of the coverlet has holes and losses along the edge. T are also a few spots of thread loss in the center of the coverlet (see photos). I have received so many questions about the holes that I decided to add to the description. T is no room for additional pictures but if you email me with your email address I will gladly send you more pictures. Most of the holes are on the blue side and mainly on 1/4 of the coverlet area - so that must be the side that was exposed in storage. They total over 20 and most are small but t are some larger ones. The top and bottom edges are hemmed and the damage along the top is extensive. Still a really early coverlet and the colors remain vibrant ! Being sold with NO RESERVE and As Is.
