This exquisite ring is from my personal collection. It is among my favorites. I am selling because I am in the process of pursuing happiness, and I've learned that it will require some sacrifice. For this reason, I am saying goodbye to some of my very favorite vintage jewelry in the next few weeks, I hope you'll keep watching. This Antique Bohemian rose cut garnet ring is spetacular! It features 4 rose cut garnet gemstones with an approx. total weight of 1.39. carats. The rose cut of the garnets is very rare and hard to find cut. This cut was first introduced in the 16th Century (15oo's!) and continued through the 1800's! The deep and rich hue of the garnets is extraordinary and uncommon! I guarentee that t are no brown or orange hues to these stones whatsoever. What you are seeing in the photos is the actual color of the stones. They are a very deep and rich burgundy red . The setting Is gold vermeil over sterling silver. Vermeil is a gold-plating process which was developed in France in the mid-1700s. No scratches or chips in the stones, setting could be cleaned but I did not want to remove the gorgeous patina. This beautiful piece of history is very old. It could be Georgian dating before 1837. It is an approx size 7-7.5. **note: if you would like a velvet lined clear acrylic ring box faceted like a gemstone, please include $3.00 with the shipping charges. I can send a photo of the ring box if interested!** Thank you for looking, and good luck should you decide to bid! Won items will be shipped in a box for protection! Selling with no reserve.
