FOR SALE IS THIS OLD SCALE THAT I THINK WAS COMMONLY CALLED BUFFALO HIDE SCALES. THEY WERE USED BY TRAPPERS TO WEIGH GAME AND HIDES IN THE MID TO LATE 1800,S. I THINK IT IS CALLED A C SPRING TYPE. THE PART WITH THE NUMBERS ON IT IS BRASS AND THE REST STEEL. THIS ONE APPEARS COMPLETE, WORKING AND UNRESTORED. IF THE LARGE HOOK AND HOOP IS USED THE SIDE THAT IS MARKED 20 TO 300 IS READ AND THE SMALL ONES GO TO THE SIDE THAT SAYS 0 TO 30 LBS. H. BOKER & CO. IS A WELL KNOWN TOOL AND KNIFE MAKER IN THE 1800,S AND EARLY 1900,S. VERY INTERESTING PEICE OF HISTORY.
