is a recent estate find from a historic New England Estate. Up for auction is a No. 4 Antique Cast Iron Bookbinding Book Press. This is all Original and in Excellent Working Condition! It has the original paint signed with a logo that looks like a "Z", as pictured. T is also something else which maybe a makers name written in red in a silver oval. it is faded and hard to read. The actual pressing area of the plate is 10" by 12 1/2". The overall dimensions are 16" by 10 1/2" and is 13" in height when the the plate is completely down. The maximum space between the plate and the base when in the up position is approx. 3 3/4". The wheel is 9 1/2" wide. This probably dates from the turn of the century or so, and was used at an old book pressing shop. Don't pass this one up, This is Super Rare and ready to use or display. This is made of Cast Iron and is heavy and weighs approx. 50 pounds. I will charge actual shipping with UPS ground.
