Antique Bowl Back Mandolin, one family owner, 1915, in Case is a bowl back mandolin believed to date from around 1915. Complete with original case and some spare strings. Attractive inlay to main body of instrument. Maker's Name of Raymond is visible inside the sound box This belonged to an aunt whose name was Marie Anna Charlotta Dorothea Hochleitner, but known to all as Tante Dora. She played in a ladies' orchestra in Port Huron , Michigan between 1915 and 1920. It believed that she bought the mandolin new and it had little use after 1920 This is in excellent condition for its age and has being stored carefully in a non-smoking environment.
