This Royal Ironstone China bowl was made in Staffordshire, England by Alfred Meakin before 1897 when this manufacturer mark was discontinued. The design is a copper luster tea leaf on both sides and a copper band around the rim. The bowl is 3 3/4 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches diameter. It is in well used condition. There is a crack on the side and the white color is stained on that side and inside the bowl. There are no chips on the rim, but the glaze is worn off there. Still a nice find for someone looking for this size piece to add to their collection.
