"Ladies and Gentlemen up for your bidding pleasure" A great 19th C. one of a kind papier mache snuff box. A wonderful display and example of snuff boxes, and Papier Mache. Probably English. With a great decoration. 2 young lovers in a classic mid east or far east motif. Ohh, you just had some snuff take me I'm yours. The box hinge is excellent. The box has normal wear. The finish is missing element in a few places, hardly noticeable and after all it is well over 150 years old. I used my hands as perspective to help depict size. Take a good look at the 12 photos enlarge, magnify, and zoom. I uploaded the photos to help with your decision to . All of the items I list on ebay are deaccessioned from my Uncle's Estate. His Private Collection. If you would like I do not sell for others. The provenance is my Uncle's Estate. He had a collection of at least 82 snuff boxes. How do I know this, well he had a little peice of paper in each one with a number on it, and the highest number I found is 82 : ) Unc was a well known estate appraiser and personal collector for over 50 years. All items have never been offered to the public untill now..
