After much consideration, I have decided to offer for sale this BEAUTIFUL antique B&H oil lamp that belonged to my step-dad. He was born in 1926, and stated that this lamp belonged to HIS parents, who had used it for QUITE a number of years before he was born. I'm not an authority on these~ but as far as I know everything on this is ORIGINAL. It has been kept in a glass display cabinet all these years. I'll do my best to accurately describe everything I think is important- if I miss anything, please feel free to email me and ASK QUESTIONS. Overall ht. w/ the chimney is 22". W/out is 10". Width @ the base is 6". I believe it to have the original chimney, too- as the glass is quite thin. Has the PAT'D dates of Apr. 23 95 Nov. 20 94 and Mar.24,96 Color is a GORGEOUS, rich coppery/brown. Has STUNNING victorian style scrollwork on the handles; it has a loose fitting (brass?) ring- could've possibly had a GWTW type shade @ one time...the goldish/brassy patina overall is VERY good- one thing I noticed is on the insert/cup (that held the oil) is that t are creases(sm. splits) due to the age. I KNOW it has NOT held fuel for probably close to @ LEAST 80+ years. This is a SUPERB addition to any collection. If any pro's know exactly what model this is, I would love to know! I am starting the auction @$19.99, but I am adding a reserve. I will read more
